Photography via window light on an overcast day with and without reflectors.

Taking photos during an overcast day presents the option of using very soft light through the windows, it’s like someone put a huge softbox in the street and you are able to aim it indoors. Here is an example of light coming from the window with and without the use of reflector to bounce the light and fill the shadows.

The closer the reflector is to your subject, the more you will fill in the shadows.

Silver colored reflectors tend to be ‘cold’, golden reflectors tend to be ‘warm’, sometimes too much, so you can also use a ‘zebra’ option that will use both, it’s what was used here.
